It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucy Delores Ingram announces her peaceful passing on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Long Term Care at the age of 78. Born in Port aux Basques, Lucy was the daughter of the late Jim and Dulcie (nee Musseau) Short.

Lucy leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Bob of 56 years, brothers, Rick (Kay) Short, Perry Short, sisters, Doreen (Mark) Strickland, Tracey (Austin) Rumbolt, sisters-in-laws, Debbie and Carmel Short, Collie Ingram, brother-in-law, Doug Ingram, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Lucy was predeceased by her brothers, Alex (Dinah) Short, Stanley and Roland Short, sisters, Bernice (Ronald) March and Rebecca Short, mother and father-in-law, John and Julia Ingram, brothers and sisters in laws, Eric (Kay), Gerald (Wilhelmena), Henry, and Bill, sister-in-law, Sis and Jacqueline Ingram, and nephews, Barry, Gerald, Tommy, and James.

The family will be receiving friends and family on Saturday, January 6th 11:00 – 2:00 P.M. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques with a funeral service to follow with Rev. Jane Allen officiating, and interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Lucy may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
