Our family has just lost another of its members. Kay was the wife of my brother Edwin. Kay appreciated everything about life including her family and home. Kay was very welcoming to anyone who visited her home or fireplace. There was always room for one more whether it was to share the fire, or something to eat. It didn’t matter how many guests she had for a weekend, she always had room for another person to sleep. Kay had this ability to always produce a tray of cookies or other food whenever someone visited. She enjoyed the music and people that took part in the summer festival which was happening just across from her home. Her favorite singers, whom she loved to hear if they were a part of the festival, were Bernie Sheaves and Peter Jacobs.
Kay loved her crafts and wherever she went, she made sure that she checked out the craft shops.
Kay had a passion for sports and always follows two of her favourite teams, the Blue Jays and the Habs, whether they were winning or losing. One of her favorites was PK. He could never do any wrong in her eyes. In recent years, she had another favorite. Cole was like a likeable little boy to her.
Kay, you will always be missed and may peace forever be with you.
