Obituary of Israel LeFrense

Please share a memory of Israel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Israel “Ezzie” LeFrense at the Western Memorial Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, at the age of 91 with his loving family by his side. Born in Burnt Islands,NL, Ezzie was the son of the late Nathan and Violet (Walters)LeFrense.  Ezzie worked at the local fish plant in Isle Aux Mortes in various positions for 49 years, he was an avid fisherman and loved a good game of cards or darts. In his younger years, he would often be seen on his way walking up to the local fishing ponds for a few casts with his fly rod even after a full shift. More often than not he would return empty handed but always with a story about the big one that got away. He loved baseball and never missed watching games of his favourite team the Toronto Blue Jays. Ezzie leaves to mourn with cherished memories, his loving wife of 65 years, Louise(Roberts), daughter Virginia Warford (Edmund) and son, Clifford (Jacqueline) and his pride and joy, granddaughter, Luanne Warford. Ezzie will be sadly missed by his sister, Annie Strickland, sister-in-law Margaret LeFrense, and a large circle of brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Ezzie was predeceased by his Mother and Father-in-law Rhoda and Levi Roberts, brothers and their spouses, William (Pearl), Dominic (Vera), and James LeFrense. Family and friends may visit Holy Spirit Anglican Church on Monday, January 8th from 7:00- 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, January 9th from 2:00-4:00 &; 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 10th at 2:00 P.M from Holy Spirit Anglican Church with Rev.
