It is with great sadness that the family of the late Irma Joan Pearce announces her peaceful passing on Saturday, January 27th, 2024, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 69, with her loving family by her side. Born in Port aux Basques, she was the daughter of the late Walter Garfield and Shirley (nee Short) Osmond.
Joan leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Jerry of 46 years, her son, Stephen (Roberta) Pearce, the the joys of her life was her grandchildren, Lexi and Landon.
She will never be forgotten by her sisters, Gail (Jerry) Osmond, Daphene Osmond (Jeff Porter) and brother, Ennis Osmond (Mary Short), brothers and sisters in laws, Diane (Victor) Martell, Debbie (John) Butt, Marilyn (Ivan) Tapp, Sandra Taverner (Craig Coleman), Renee (John) Ford, Jacqueline (Christopher) Chippett, Leonard Pearce (Carolann White) and Ricky (Sylvia) Pearce, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Joan was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Maxwell Pearce.
In keeping with Joan’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held from Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques, with Rev. Faye Coffin officiating with a private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the family.
