It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clifford Harold Bond announces his passing on February 11, 2024, at Dr. Charles L LeGrow with his loving family by his side at the age of 78. Clifford was born in Stone’s Harbour; he was the son of the late Thomas and Florence (nee Organ) Bond.
He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Paula (Scott) Keeping, Denise (Terry) Sheppard, special nephew, who was like a son to him, Tony Bond, grandchildren, Scotty (Julie), Victoria (Patricia), and great-grandchildren, Luke, and Charlotte. Clifford will also be missed by brothers, Phil (Joan Mauger), Melvin (Rita), Gary (Delores), Kevin (Gail), sisters, Eileen (Alex), Brenda (Bruce), Rose, Vera, sister-in-law, Gloria, nephew, Alvin Bond, plus large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family and his wonderful care worker, Harriet Bond.
Clifford was predeceased by his loving wife Viola, brother, Lewis Bond, sister, Diane (Issac)Taylor, sisters-in-law, Dulcie Bond, Hazel Chant, and mother and father-in-law, Bernice and Arthur Chant.
Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Monday, February 12 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from St. George’s Anglican Church in Burnt Islands on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Tuesday, February 13th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 o 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Dianna Fry. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Flowers are accepted and donations made in Clifford’s memory may be made graciously to the family.
