It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Jamie Nancy Currie announces her passing on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side at the age of 47. Born in Port aux Basques, Jamie was the daughter of Debbie Kettle (Brian Carter) and Jim (Janet) Currie.
Jamie leaves to mourn with fond loving memories her parents, her sisters and brothers, Michelle (Bob) Frampton, Wade Lawrence (Nancy Osmond), Natasha (Timmy) Romeo and James Currie (Vanessa Keeping), nieces and nephews, Sarah, Hayley, Morgan, Macy, Tyler, Chelsea and Thomas and her fur puppy Jessie, plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and a large circle of friends.
She was a lover of nature, photography, and art. She adored her fur baby Jessie who owned her heart.
Jamie was predeceased by her grandparents, James and Carrie Currie, Martin and Annie Kettle, stepmother, Lillian Currie who helped raised her.
Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street on Saturday, February 17th from 2:00 -4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. In keeping with Jamie’s wishes, cremation will follow, and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
