Doreen, you and your family will find comfort in knowing you got to spend many wonderful years together and have so many cherished memories.
My first encounter with Blandford was as a colleague at LeGallais Memorial in the early seventies. He quickly became a good friend and a professional in every way and well respected by both staff and students alike. With many years working together in the Isle aux Morts Lions Club, Lioness Club and district Lions, Blandford’s dedication to the community and volunteerism grew exponentially. After retirement, he extended this to mobilize many projects that enhanced not only the community but the entire Southwest coast. The area has lost one of its strongest supporters and he will be sorely missed. Mary and I send our deepest condolences. RIP Blandford.

My thoughts and condolences go out to the family of Blan!
As a former colleague of Blandford during my three years at Legallais Memorial, I got to know Blandford as a dedicated professional educator always there to volunteer for various activities within the school and the community.
Even though Blan always took his responsibilities very seriously he was able to lighten the moment with his sense of humor. I am sure the corridors of Legallais Memorial still reverberate with the sounds of laughter from the conversations with him during the times of recess and lunch duty exercises!
I also had the privilege to interact with Blan outside the professional environment of Legallais as I spent many nights at the old Bruce arena durimg our years of recreation hockey, and, as usual there was no problem hearing his laughter as we all shared an after game cold one!
My heartfelt sympathies go out to both Darcy and Randy as well as Kendra and especially to Doreen during this difficult time.

Doreen, I am so very saddened to hear of Blan’s passing.
Whenever I think of him I am blown away by his wit and humor; he was brilliant, and such a sweetie.
The first time Myron had met him, we were all at a party (in Grand Bay) and Blan said he had to leave and go home because his dog was home and he was probably at the door with his legs crossed.!!!
I thought Myron was going to pee his pants…
Blan definitely impacted so many people, and you all will miss him terribly.
My sincere condolences to you and all your family.

Pam and I have very fond memories of Blanford. This is from our time in Isle aux Morts, as he was a faithful member of Holy Spirit congregation. We got to know him and you as you were part of the group that traveled to Cow Head for their theater festival. We all became a family as founding members of 'Da Koodents' of which Blanford was the producer and director. Doreen we send our deepest condolences to you and your family. We grieve with you. May Blan rest in Peace and rise in Glory.

Hi, Doreen and Family,
Please accept my condolences on Blanford's passing into God's arms. He was a great contributor to the boards and committees on which we volunteered together. Judy and I also appreciated the efforts he made to keep his town, Isle aux Morts, in the forefront, especially his contributions via Da Koodens.
May the message of Easter be a source of strength and comfort.
