It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Lockland Thomas Keeping announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre with his loving family by his side at the age of 76. Born in Rose Blanche, he was the son of the late Garfield and Maryann (nee Loder) Keeping.

Lockland leaves to mourn his loving daughter, Carla (Bradley) Skinner, his pride and joy grandson, Andy Skinner. He will never be forgotten by sisters, Shirley (Edward) Cokes, Bessie Gillard, his sisters and brothers in laws, Peggy Keeping, Evelyn (Albert) Harvey, Ephraim (Sabrina) Harvey, Sylvia Harvey, Ellen Harvey, Rex (Trudy) Harvey, Louise Harvey and Liz Harvey, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.

Lockland was predeceased by his wife Isabella, brothers and sisters, Wilson (Abigail), Arthur, William, Edwin Keeping and Katherine Howse, brothers-in-law, Douglas, Gary, Ross, Roger and William Harvey.

In keeping with Lockland’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving family and friends on Wednesday, June 5 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. from Oceanside Funeral Home. The funeral service will take on place on Thursday, June 6th at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Spirit Anglican Church with Rev. Ken Abbott officiating, with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers graciously accepted, or donations in Lockland’s memory can be made to charities of one’s choice.
