Obituary of Timothy Bruce Enwood

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Timothy Bruce Enwood announce his passing at home, surrounded by family on July 23rd, 2024, at the age of 61. Born in Burnt Islands, Bruce was the son of the late Hubert and Susanna (nee Herritt) Enwood. Bruce leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, his wife Debbie Enwood (nee Bond) of 42 years. He also leaves behind his loving daughter, Cynthia (Jeffrey) Bowes, his grandchildren, Jordon Enwood (Kaija Hurst), and Chloe Cleveland (Tyrone Osmond), his great grandson, Alex Osmond, and his fur buddy, Jake. Bruce also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Audrey Best, Harvey Enwood, Eva (Noble) Kettle, Albert (Selina) Enwood, Phyllis, Hubert (Shelly) Enwood, Goldie Hardy, Marina (Raymond), Deanna (Joe), brothers and sister-in-law, Rupert (Julie) Bond, Wanda (Stanley) Marriott, Eric (Tina) Bond, and Glen Harvey, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Bruce was predeceased by his son, Sidney Enwood, his parents, Hubert and Susanna Enwood, mother and father-in-law, Walter and Ellen Bond, sister, Bessie Sampson, brothers and sisters in law, Roberta Harvey, Jennie Enwood, James Bond, Geraldine Enwood, Arthur Best, and Darcy Hardy. Bruce was born in Burnt Islands in 1963, where he grew up and lived until he graduated from high school. Bruce went on to vocational school to complete his journeyman in carpentry. In 1989, Bruce left Newfoundland to seek work in Nova Scotia. In 1990 Bruce moved his family with him until he moved back to Newfoundland in 2016 where he continued his love of carpentry. Bruce loved the outdoors, and being on the ocean, and he loved to play poker Friday nights with his buddies. You could always find him standing around an open fire with great music and friends. Bruce was the life of any gathering. If you were to ask Bruce what his greatest accomplishments in life was, he would say it was his family. Bruce was a great man; he will be truly missed by many. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. AlNabbott and the nurses at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Hospital, as well as his home care worker, Crystal Hardy and Jessie Hilliard and Nicole Harvey community health nurse. The family will be receiving family and friends on Thursday, July 25th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the family home in Burnt Islands, and the visitations will continue to St. George’s Anglican Church from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday, July 26th at 2:00 p.m. from St. George’s Anglican Church with Deacon John Billard officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations in memory of Bruce can be made graciously to the family. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home.
