Growing up I made many, many trips to Port aux Basques with my Mom to visit her family. We almost always stayed at Aunt Dot’s. I loved the time I spent there. I always did and will consider Aunt Dot my favourite Aunt. One year during Come Home Year, I took my daughter to Newfoundland for the first time and of course we stayed with Aunt Dot. ❤️ To Vinie, Billy, Erica and families I am sending my deepest condolences. Vinnie, Freeman, Erica and family we are so deeply sorry for your loss. Dot aka our second mother was a beautiful lady, we loved her dearly. Her house was the second place I went each time I went home. Loved our evenings having tea and chatting. We have so many happy memories of Dot that we will cherish forever. Vinnie I know this is very difficult, she will always be with you. Your mother loved you more than life. Sending you prayers and hugs xo xo Take care my life time friend ❤️

Vinnie, Bill and grandchildren, extended family and friends So very sorry to read about Dot’s passing. Dot gave me my first haircut back in the day. She had quick wit and a ready smile. Hold on to your memories and I’m sure there are many. Our sincere condolences to you all. RIP Dot.
