It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Walters announce her passing at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Long Term Care on Monday, September 9th, 2024, surrounded by family, at the age of 80. Born in Isle aux Morts, Emma was the daughter of the late Elias and Marie (nee Bandfield) Lawrence.

Emma leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children, Jocelyne Keeping, Leon (Mike) Smith-Walters, David Walters, son-in-law Kenny Francis, grandchildren Alexander Keeping, Bailey Francis, Desiree Keeping, Desmond Keeping, Lucas Francis, Maurora Walters, and great-grandson Brayden Keeping. Emma also leaves to mourn her five brothers, several brothers and sisters-in-laws, her best friend Annie Kinslow, and a large circle of niece, nephews, friends and extended family.A special thanks to her brother, Ambrose for all his care and compassion shown to Emma.

Emma was predeceased by her loving husband, William Henry, and daughter, Sarah Francis.

Family and friends may visit Holy Sprit Anglican Church, Isle aux Morts, on Wednesday, September 11th and Thursday, September 12th from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow on Friday, September 13th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ken Abbott officiating, interment to follow at Holy Spirit Anglican Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Isle aux Morts. Flowers accepted or donations in Emma’s memory can be graciously made to the family.
