Obituary of Bill Leamon

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late William Leamon announces his passing on Monday, December 16th, 2024, with his loving family by his side at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center at the age of 76 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Bill was the son of the late Joshua and Elsie Leamon.
Bill leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 55 years, Priscilla (nee Luedee) Leamon, his children, Donald (Rowena) Leamon, and Roxanne (Dana) King, grandchildren, Jeremy Leamon (Katey), Ashley King, Aiden King, Jonna Kendall, and Jennifer Kendall. He also leaves to mourn his brother, Martin (Lita) Leamon, brothers and sisters in law, Juanita (Francis) Bennett, Francis (Joan) Luedee, Gerald (Margaret) Luedee, Melinda (Gerry) O’Quinn, Bernadine (David) Ryan, Raymond (Clara) Luedee, Viola Luedee, Irene (Rick) Scharf, Ralph (Barb) Luedee, Kimberly Luedee, and Linda Leamon, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Joshua and Elsie Leamon, mother and father in law, William and Hilda Luedee, sisters, Diane Leamon and Sheila Moore, brother, Johnny Leamon, brother in laws, Patrick Luedee, Adrian Luedee, Michael Luedee, Jim Lush, and sister in law, Wanda Luedee.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the staff at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center. You were not only his caregivers and house keepers (who he kept on their toes), you became family and went above and beyond. For this, we will be forever grateful.
In keeping with Bills wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church on Friday, December 20th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. with a wake service starting at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will take place Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m. with Father Prakash officiating. Interment to follow at Precious Blood Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations in Bill’s memory can be made to a charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Words of comfort can be sent to the family by visiting www.oceansidefh.ca
