

Obituary of Marina Allen
On Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 our hearts were filled with sadness as our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Marina Allen, passed away suddenly at home at the age of 73 years with her loving family by her side. Born in Upper Island Cove, Marina was the daughter of the late Archibald and Myra (Lundrigan) Drover. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Edgar of 52 years, loving daughter Cindy Allen Butt, Port aux Basques, NL, sons, Glenn Allen (Janine Scott) Saskatchewan, and Ray Allen (Shirlene Edwards) Paradise, NL, her pride and joy grandchildren, Robyn, Kaitlyn,Tristan, Julia, Jackson, Daniel, Grayson, Chase,and Luke, sisters and brothers, Susie Hammond, Joe (Carol) Drover, Ray (Maureen) Drover and Barbara (Terry) Drover, brother and sisters-in-law, Marion (Norman) Osmond, Subina (Ken) Forsyth, Chrissy (John) Spencer and Chrissy Allen, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by sister, Mabel Stone, brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat Hammond, Wilson Allen and John (Mae) Allen. In keeping with Marina’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends and family on Wednesday, November 6th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Thursday, November 7th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8th at 2:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Jane Allen officiating with interment to follow at a later date.
