Obituary of George Hatcher

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late George Hatcher announces his passing on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 71 with his loving family by his side.  Born in Burnt Islands, he was the son of the late Reginald and Hattie (nee Hiscock) Hatcher. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 52 years, Vivian (nee Billard) Hatcher; his daughter, Maureen (Lloyd) Lovell, Sons, Boyd (Wilma) Hatcher, Jamie (Jean) Hatcher, all of Sackville, Nova Scotia, and Bill Steele, Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia. He dearly loved his grandchildren, Kelsey and Nicholas Lovell, Bailey, Julia and Jennifer Hatcher all of Sackville, Nova Scotia; Brothers, Gordon (Ruth) Hatcher, Eric (Sheila) Hatcher and Allen (Susie) Hatcher, and a large circle of brothers and sisters in laws, nieces, nephews and friends.  George was predeceased by his sister, Aggie Ingram, brothers, Reginald Hatcher, Alex (Melita) Hatcher.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 28th from 7-9 pm, and Friday, November 29th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Holy Spirit Anglican Church from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 30th at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Nathan Culter.  In keeping with George’s wishes cremation to follow and graveside service will be held at later date. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the family.
