It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Daniel “Dan” Clarke announces his passing on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Western Regional Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 64. Born in Port aux Basques he was the son of the late Gordon and Olive (Battiste) Clarke. Dan leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his daughter, Melissa Clarke (Dwayne LeRiche) and son, Scott Clarke (Adriana Edmunds) his pride and joy grandchildren, Avery and Emma LeRiche, Keegan and Lukas Clarke, brothers and sisters, John (June) Clarke, Ken (LouAnn) Clarke, William (Arlene) Clarke, Paul (Mona) Clarke, Kay (Rick) Short and Deanna Primmer. He was predeceased by his brothers, Lorne Clarke and Charles Battiste and sister, Geraldine Carew. In keeping with Dan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends and family on Friday, January 24th, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. As per Dan’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family. The family entrusted the arrangements to Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques, 695-7010. Words of comfort can be sent to the family by visiting www.oceansidefh.ca
