It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daniel “Danny” Hynes announces his passing on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 65 with his loving family by his side. Born in St.Andrew’s he is the son of Mabel (Strickland) and the late Earl Hynes. Danny was predeceased by baby Hynes, sister, Sharon, brother, Alvin, mother and father -in-law, Frank and Margaret MacArthur, brotherin-laws, Desmond and Quentin MacArthur. Danny leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 38 years, Carina (nee MacArthur), his pride and joy, daughters, Danielle (Jonathon) Grant, Kara, Joannah(Robert Gillis), sons, Joshua (Sarah Bowdridge), Michael and Nicholas, his granddaughters, Maci and Katelyn Grant and Baby Girl Hynes, his sisters, Barbara (Bill) Taylor, Kaye Brown, Jo-Anne (Tony) Ball, Jackie (Mike) Whelan, brothers, Tony, Andy (Laurie), Steven and Darrell, brothers and sisters in laws, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. At the tender age of 24, Danny moved home to take care of his mom and his younger siblings when his dad passed. His love for his mom was incredible, and he enjoyed visiting her every day to make sure she was okay. He met his best friend and the love of his life shortly after and he and Carina built a wonderful life together. Danny's love for his family ran deep. No matter what he was doing, or how busy he was, he always stopped for his family. Over the years, he attended every ball game, every drama play, every activity his children and grandchildren were involved in no matter where they were. Known for his strong faith and generous spirit, Danny was a jack-of-all-trades who would help anybody with anything. He was a fisherman, hunter, woodcutter, carpenter, electrician, mechanic, plumber, or anything else he needed to be to help someone out. He will be immeasurably missed by all who knew him. The family will be receiving friends and family on Monday, October 26th from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
