It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Lavina Seymour (Courtney) announces her passing at Western Regional Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook on Saturday, November 17th, 2018 at the age of 61. Born in Burnt Islands she was the daughter of the late James and Meta (Smurridge) Courtney.

She leaves to mourn with found and loving memories her husband of  47 years, Art, her son, Donavan (Eydie)Seymour, daughter, Angela (Scott) Collier, four grandchildren, Courtney and Skye Seymour, Knox and Kenzie Collier, thirteen sisters and brothers and spouses, and 5 sister and brother  in law and spouses  and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Lavina was predeceased by her mother and father in law Reginald and Bessie Seymour, nephew Nolan Munden and brother-in-law Gordon Keeping.

Visitation taking place on Tuesday, Nov. 20th from 2-4 & 7-9 and Wednesday, Nov. 21th from 2-4 & 7-9 at St. George’s Anglican Church, Burnt Island, from were the funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 22, 2 p.m. officiated Rev. Jeffrey Petten, internment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle-aux-Mort Road. As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
