It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilson Keeping announces his passing on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Dartmouth General Hospital Nova Scotia, at the age of 84 with his loving daughters by his side. Born at Rose Blanche, Wilson was the son of the late Garfield and Maryann Keeping. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children, Ivy (George) Cokes, Ramona (Gary) Keeping, Gordie (Denise) Keeping, and Wilma (Boyd) Hatcher, grandchildren, Stephen (Janice) Cokes, Stacy (Andrew) Cokes, Gina Keeping (Robert), Bailey Hatcher and Myles Keeping, great-grandchildren, Garreth Sanford, Schuyler Sanford, Blake Jordan, Carys Sanford-Cokes, Ethan Jordan, Piper Sanford-Cokes, and Carly Jordan, brothers- and sisters-in-law, Edwin Keeping, Shirley (Edward) Cokes, Bessie Gillard, Lockland Keeping and Peggy Keeping, and many nieces and nephews.

Wilson was predeceased by his wife, Abigail Keeping, infant son, mother and father in law, Thomas and Susanna (Spicer) Stroud, brothers, William and Arthur Keeping,sister,Katherine (Charles) House,brothers-in-laws William (Susie) Stroud, and Raymond Gillard, sister-in-law,Mary Keeping and Isabella Keeping, nephews Gary Stroud, Dennis and David House, and great-nephew, Coady Herritt.

In keeping with Wilson’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitations will take place on Sunday, August 22nd from 12:00-2:00 P.M and 7:00-9:00 P.M at Oceanside Funeral Home, and Monday, August 23rd from 10:00 A.M- 12:00 P.M at St. Michaels and All Angels Church in Rose Blanche. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, August 23rd at 2:00 P.M , from St. Michaels and All Angels Church in Rose Blanche, officiated by the Rev. Canon Jeffrey Petten. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street.
