Vivian and family,
This is my third attempt trying to send a condolence on this website. For some reason I keep getting booted off.
I don’t even remember what I said the first couple times, but I know one thing…. George was an amazing man and you were all lucky to have him in your lives., as a husband,Dad, Grandad, brother, friend, and neighbour.
We can always count on George’s. Big hugs and friendly smiles, whenever we came home to Newfoundland..
The thing about George, is that if you needed a shirt he would take his off his back and give it to you. That’s the kind of man he was, very giving.
As you go through this huge horrific loss in your lives, keep his memory close to your hearts, and know that he isn’t far away from either one of you
I love you and share your sympathy.
With much love always,
Judy and Brian

George was a good man. When I came home to visit, he was always a super friendly face I saw walking along Harvey’s trail. He always had a good story to tell me. I’ll remember him always.

Vivian and family,
It was a shock to hear about George's passing. I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your family. George was always ready to tell a story and my last memory of him was from last summer.I stopped to talk to him in his driveway and before I left he had presented me with a piece of 'white rock' from cross road. I have it in my backyard as a memory of home. May his memory be a blessing and rest in peace my friend.

Robert and I send our sincere condolences to you Vivian and to all your family. George loved his community of Isle aux Morts so much, cherishing its long vibrant history and rugged beauty. The Anne Harvey Trail was especially dear to his heart as it was built when he was on council. What a tribute to this fine man who accomplished so much in his life. His catalogue of family history knowledge was amazing and that, began our friendship. We will miss him very much, our kind, honest, genuine friend. God Bless you George.
Sincerely, Brenda Franklin, Nova Scotia

Such sad news to hear of George's passing. I had the privilege of chatting with him after his surgery and was shocked that he had passed away so suddenly. I will always cherish the pieces of White Rock that he gave me last year and the memories we all shared on that rock. Condolences and heartfelt sympathy to all the family. RIP, George.

I wanted to say that I am so sorry for the loss of a wonderful man. A while ago that I was talking to George and he spoke about my dad. He told me that he thought a great deal of my dad. George said that he helped dad get his drivers license, he took him out driving he helped him a great deal. My dad had no education therefore it was a great thing he did for him. Thank you George for doing that and honouring me with that beautiful memory of you two driving around and telling jokes because my dad was a funny man. Bless you George and I hope that you both get to sit and enjoy each other’s jokes again. ❤️❤️❤️

Every family has a great story teller, Uncle George was ours. He filled every room with his smile and his presence, sharing story’s of the past that everyone would always gravitate to. His knowledge of our community and pride of his heritage made a true ambassador of the Walters family and the community of Isle Aux Morts. It’s not goodbye, as we all know Uncle George will be forever in our hearts.

In this time of sorrow, it is important to remember how George touched our lives. As a first cousin, his love was felt deeply and he remained close at heart. Exceptionally friendly, kind and funny, George had an unmatched thoughtfulness for those who mattered most to him. He shall be truly missed by all.
