Sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. Port Aux Basques is my hometown. Every Christmas we listen to Jimmy sing with the Anglican choir. Awesome voice. Actually I'm learning the song he sang about the angels in the sky. Going to sing it at our Christmas service.Praying for his family. Pastor Baine & wavey Andrews

I only met Jim in person once although I had heard lots about him. When I finally met him, he didn't have much to say at first, just took it all in as we all got talking while sitting around the living room at the Cooper home in Point Leamington. But when the music started, let's just say he came out of his shell. Glenda sat at the piano and we all just sang every song we could think of - Jim led most of them. It was a great evening and I could see that he and Glenda were very happy together. And that was nice to see. I was so sad to hear of his sudden passing. I was sure we would have more evenings singing around the piano at another family get together. But I have this memory and I feel lucky to have met him. My deepest sympathy to his nearest and dearest.

I want to offer my condolences to the Buffett family, and to Glenda and the extended family. We (my first wife, Linda and I) have spent many evenings together, and even took a little vacation together in Harbor Breton/Belleoram where we took in the annual Iron Skull Festival. We stayed at the Olde Oven Inn, which had an organ. We opened all the doors to the Sunday Morning fresh air and Jim sang hymns which could be heard all over the harbor. The telephone began to ring as the families who heard him was cheering him on. This has been a huge memory for me. George Short
