One of our favourite memories of Mick was when we came to Newfoundland one summer and stayed with him and Kathleen at the cabin. Keegan was 13. We were lamenting that in the land of the moose, we hadn't seen one on our travels. That night, as dusk approached, Mick took us out for a drive to see a moose before we went home. I think we counted five that night. It was one of our trip highlights.
We are just so saddened to hear of his passing. He was such a presence. He will be missed! Love to you all.

Mick was a neighbour of ours for the last years here in Torbay. He was a kind gentleman who often walked across the road with his shovel in tow after our big Newfoundland storms. He’d chat away as we tried to clear up the mess. If I had company he’d come up to say hello and to tell a story or two. Our condolences go out to Kathleen and Terry, Rebecca and family. Mick will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Kathleen, Terry and family,
Even though we knew that Lewis was very ill for the last while, his bravery and resilience at his continuing joy of life made his death seem sudden.
My wife Magda and I enjoyed spending time with Lewis and Kathleen at many a Sunday dinner and family events. I especially appreciated our shared interest in history.
Your friendship was very special to us.
Sending love and strength to you all,
John Moyes

Condolences to you Kathleen, Terry, Rebecca and family. Mick I will remember how concerned you were for me when I burned my hand at Jodi’s wedding, you couldn’t do enough for me and it was such appreciated.
