It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late John William LeFresne announces his passing on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center at the age of 69, with his loving family by his side. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of Margaret LeFrense (nee Hillier) and the late James LeFrense.

Bill leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his common law spouse of 22 years, Josephine Hill, his son, Gavin (Michelle) LeFrense, and stepchildren Stephen (Vanessa) Lawrence, Kyle Hill and Kristi (Doug) Schmeler, grandchildren, his pride and joy, his world, Emily, Nicole, Megan, and Brandon.

Bill will be sadly missed by his sisters, Eileen Leamon, Valerie (Brad) Clarke, and Sheila (Greg) Wells, brothers and sisters in law, Mary LeFrense, James Conners, Clayton (Lucy) Crewe, Elsie (Don) Dove, and Leona Hayman. Plus, a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his father, James LeFrense, brother, Larry LeFrense, sister Gail Conners, and nephew, Ryan Wells.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place; family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Saturday, October 19th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Abbott officiating. Flowers accepted or donations in Bill’s memory may be made to a charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home.
